Super Maximum Retro Show
For: VICE TV
I got to (practicallly) be the creative go-to guy for Vice TV’s “Super Maximum Retro Show” — the new Jimmy Kimmel-executive produced show starring comedian Chris Distefano. It’s all about the 70s, 80s, and 90s being a blast. So I concepted and wrote scripts for trailers, on-air creative, and social executions that pay homage to the times before we became enslaved to five inch screens.
Three things (besides trailer and posters) I created are:
- Lessons from the Decade — a collection of “lessons” from the 70s, 80s, and 90s that everyone should know. Chest hair is an aphrodisiac, right? Or do I need to shave?
- Super Maximum Retro Explains — a social video series featuring host Chris Distefano explaining how to use retro items that aren’t really used anymore. I deserve a Netflix special for some of the jokes I wrote.
- Nostalgic Vocabulary — A bunch of contemporary definitions for old words and phrases that nobody under 40 should know. Not judging if you do.
